By downloading, installing, or using Silkwind (“the Application”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
Silkwind is a desktop email client application that allows you to access, read, compose, send, and manage email from your existing email accounts. Silkwind connects to third-party email services (such as Google Gmail, Microsoft Outlook, and IMAP/JMAP servers) on your behalf using credentials and authorisations that you provide.
Silkwind is a local-first application: your email data is stored and processed on your device. Silkwind does not operate backend servers that store or process your email content.
To use Silkwind with a third-party email service, you must authenticate using the method required by that service (such as OAuth2 for Google or Microsoft). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs through your authenticated accounts.
You may revoke Silkwind’s access to your third-party accounts at any time through the respective service’s account settings.
You agree not to use Silkwind to:
Silkwind and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Pulse S.r.l. and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Portions of Silkwind are released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPL-3.0). The applicable license terms for open-source components are included with the Application and available in the source code repository.
Silkwind integrates with third-party email services. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Silkwind is not responsible for the availability, reliability, or practices of third-party services.
In particular:
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we handle your data.
Silkwind is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee the delivery, receipt, or security of any email sent or received through the Application, as email delivery depends on third-party services and infrastructure outside our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pulse S.r.l. and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Application.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Application or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Application after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Application shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
